I installed JFusion and now I cannot log in to my admin area?


The JFusion component for Joomla 1.5 changes the way the Joomla 1.5 login works.

If you don’t configure JFusion correctly, you could lock yourself out from your Joomla admin area.

The best way to avoid this issue is to test the JFusion login while you are still logged in to your Joomla 1.5 admin area. This way you can test the component’s functionality and avoid a lock-out situation.

However, if you have already locked yourself out from your Joomla admin area, you can easily restore your access by disabling the JFusion plugins.

This should be done directly from the Joomla database through the phpMyAdmin tool. Go to your cPanel > MySQL Databases section > phpMyAdmin.

Once in phpMyAdmin, select the Joomla 1.5 database from the drop-down menu on the left. The page will refresh and the database’s tables will be displayed on it. Browse the jos_jfusion table and change the value for enabled to 0 for all activated plugins.

Then you should be able to log in to your Joomla 1.5 admin area without any problems.
